Mission Statement
Welcome to the home of the Southern Illinois Adult Soccer League (SIASL). We are the only adult soccer
league in the Marion/Carbondale area. The league is affiliated with the Illinois State Soccer Association,
which is the governing body for adult soccer in Illinois. Players should be at least 17 years of age
with exceptions to be approved by the Board of Directors. SIASL is a coed soccer league with a focus on fun,
safe and competitive soccer. We have players with varying skill levels, from beginners to players who have
competed at the college level including several international players. We welcome all skill levels
and encourage our experienced players to pass on their knowledge to the less experienced
players in order to increase the skill level of the whole league.
In the spirit of fun, friendship and sportsmanship, the league also has a very strong social aspect
with tailgating after every game. We strive to have an atmosphere that can be enjoyed by all and is
family friendly. Family, friends, and interested spectators are always welcome!
Each season includes ten games plus playoffs, including some night games played under lights.
Most games are scheduled to be played on Saturdays at 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. with night games
on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Game locations alternate between Carbondale (Parrish Park)
and Marion (Marion Soccer Complex). Directions can be found here.
At the end of each season, there is a championship series based on the regular season standings.
For the good and safety of this league and its members, SIASL is protected by a set of rules and regulations
established by the SIASL Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is established and maintained according
to the SIASL Constitution & By-laws.
